5 reasons why Steam is better than Battle.net 2.0

With Starcraft 2 Blizzard has also released an updated version of Battle.net, the updated features remind me of Steam and Facebook.

I like the new battle.net but I also believe it has a lot to improve upon, here are 5 reasons why I think Steam is better than the new Battle.net

1. International - No region locked, in the new battle.net an EU player can't play, talk or participate in a US game or forum, This is the worst decision Blizzard have made about Starcraft 2. No such thing with Steam servers and it's forums, Blizzard is probably one of the first big companies to seperate the internet games, an EU player can not even add a US friend to his friend list.

2. Nickname - Steam allows you to change your nickname, Battle.net doesn't allow you to change character profile name or even make a new one.

3. Game overlay - Steam has an application that gives you game overlay which can immediately show your friends, conversations, browse the internet and more, In Battle.net your friends list is a window in the game which you have to minimize or close but you can't overlay the game on top of it.

4. User profiles and community groups - Steam allows you to customize your profile, write a message in it, put links, put a personal picture and create a group for your friends. Battle.net 2.0 only allows you to select a picture from rewards you get, you can't write anything in your profile at all and it is all automated based on how you play, you can't make clans or groups.

5. Outside the game - You can talk to your Steam friends even when you don't have any game running, with battle.net you have to run the game if you want to talk to your friends, and because battle.net is using the browser you will have to login again and again everytime the browser deletes old cookies or when battle.net do a site upgrade, with Steam you almost never need to enter your user and password.

Steam also had issues when it first started so Blizzard could improve battle.net a lot more.

^ This guy is a Troll who I doubt uses either platform. (not the poster the commenter)Also, anyone who swears for no reason is obviously a (and I quote) "F***ing idiot", this is what annoys me about the internet, anonimity allows for complete disregard of social obligations.

Oh look I forgot to point out that obvious grammar error with the "your", it should be capitalised and a different type of the word, for example; You're, this is another thing that I detest about the internet, oh, and I don't care if you go to my profile and call me a grammar nazi, I can delete the comments.
