How Microsoft should compete against the iPhone, iPad and iPod

Microsoft with all it's money power and partners has failed to compete against the iOS devices, Windows Phone 7 is not impressive.

What I think Microsoft should spend their money on is make a normal x86 PC that can run normal Windows 7 on a phone, use their money to get the technology that will be able to run a normal PC in the size of a phone which will be able to run ALL the applications a normal Windows 7 desktop can run.

Think about it, being able to have your regular Windows 7 machine on your phone, all the applications that you can run on your Windows machine will run on your phone, Microsoft should bring the brightest people to come up with ways to make it work, make interfaces that allow you to use with your fingers all the millions of popular applications that PC users use on their regular desktops.

Microsoft should partner with Intel and NVIDIA, spend all their research and development money on making a regular PC with Intel x86 CPU, NVIDIA GPU that runs regular version of Windows on the phone, including PC games, imagine being able to play all Steam games on your phone.

When you come back home, you can connect your Windows phone to a dock that has monitor keyboard mouse and speakers attached to it and it will be like a regular PC, you wouldn't even know it's a phone.

This is what Microsoft should be doing to compete against Apple and their iOS devices.
