GTWPS - Modern Warfare 3, Diablo 3 and Rage

GTWPS = GAMES THAT WILL PROBABLY SUCK

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Diablo 3 and Rage are overrated games that will probably suck.

These upcoming games all have in common a big hype, they all come from large companies, Acitivision with Call of Duty, Blizzard with Diablo 3 and Rage from id Software.

Why will Modern Warfare 3 suck?

MW1 and MW2 were made by the developer Infinity Ward, in 2010 Activision fired the 2 heads of Infinity Ward, with them left over 40 developers.
So, to create Modern Warfare 3 Activision has split the work to 3 developers, the new studio Sledgehammer games, Raven Software and whatever was left of Infinity Ward after over 50% of it left the company.

This means Modern Warfare 3 is being developed by people who did not create the past games, and they are also using the already ancient graphic engine that has't change much since 2007.

Also, MW3 looks a bit worse than MW2, the art level is not as good even though it is the same graphic engine.

Why will Diablo 3 suck?

Diablo 3 is also not being made by the original people who created the first 2 games, Blizzard has closed down their "Blizzard North" which created the original 2 games, Diablo 3 was announced in 2008 and even today in 2011 we don't have a release date, the game graphics already look old, Blizzard has also said they dramatically changed how you level up in Diablo 3, you no longer spend attributes and you no longer choose which skill you want to spend points on.

Why will Rage suck?

id Software is creating a game called "Rage" which by name alone sounds weak, the weapons and gameplay are repetitive and boring, the story is weak and has been recycled in games and movies too many times, Rage might have a new id Tech 5 engine but it still doesn't look very good.
While I might be in the minority of people who feel this way, there are others who think the same thing.

Looking at the trailers, all these games look boring and ugly, they all repeat old games, none of them bring new ideas or even impressive new graphics, all these games are being made for the 2006 graphic capabilities of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles.
